I shall definitely be trying this as I use Quinoa quite a lot. It’s a good alternative to rice and great if you are avoiding gluten grains. You can use it to make a lovely tabbouleh instead of couscous (contains gluten) or make ‘porridge’ to give a good protein based breakfast (excellent if you are vegan), particularly if you add some ground almonds and mixed seeds. Chuck in a teaspoon of turmeric and cinnamon, sweeten with a little maple syrup or honey and you’ll be full till lunchtime.
