Day 18 – Once Upon A Time

Evan

Today we went through the Islington Tunnel which is about 1000m  long.  It took us 20 minutes to go through the tunnel.  There was water dripping from the roof and it was pitch black.

I  wrote a story about a man who went through the tunnel on a diesel boat.

The Islington Giant

Once upon a time there was a little boat moored at one end of the Islington Tunnel.

The clock strikes 7am in Dave’s boat.  Dave jumped out of bed and ran over to the cupboard where he kept his spotlight.  He picked it up and went outside and strapped it on to the roof of his boat and then jumped on to the deck.

He untied the ropes, stepped onto his boat and started the engine. He was very excited about going through the tunnel.

He was now in the long dark tunnel going under the roads and buildings of Islington.

It was dark and Dave could not see a thing except from where his spotlight was pointing and his head torch, which was on his head.

Dave called the tunnel The Islington Giant.

It took Dave half an hour to go through the tunnel.  As soon as Dave emerged from the tunnel a gust of cold wind hit him.

The End
