I can feel the sway of grasses in my heart.
I can feel the almighty push of a tiny shoot as it comes up through a crack in the pavement, all in my heart.
I can feel the buds in spring spreading out their leaves to soak up the sunshine, in my heart.
I can feel the meadow flowers growing taller in my heart.
I can feel the roots of the trees deep down in my heart.
For love and my heart are evergreen.

This Valentines day, show your love for our planet by making and wearing a green heart. Together we can raise awareness for climate change. Watch this beautiful video made by The Climate Coalition for inspiration on how to speak up for the earth. My idea is to write a poem, the subject: green hearts.
Today I saw a towpath garden.
City Basin Lock Islington
Kids from Hanover Primary School in Islington have planted plants on the towpath.
They have planted a passion tree, a raspberry bush, some mint and a plant that looked like coriander.
I found a delicious ripe raspberry – yum
Lots of herbs
They have flowers in one bed and edible plants in another.
Los of planters full of edible plants, fruits & pretty flowers
We met a lady who ran the garden and she told us all about it. She showed us a photo of what the towpath looked like before.

The parents and children in each class get together and choose different plants for their garden.
Now they have days once a month so the people from the local community come along to help them look after their plants and to keep them tidy.
It’s very interesting and inspiring.
